Labyrinth - Tsutsumi and Associates as Interior Designers for HAREGINO MARUSHO View Gallery The dress area on the fourth floor of Haregi Marusho Yokohama is something we've been working on for a long time.We decided to boldly alter the atmosphere because Western clothing was on display on the fourth floor while Japanese kimonos were on display on the first and second floors.

I imagined a solid, straightforward geometric space like Le Thoronet, a Romanesque monastery. It could be considered a basilica-style plan with aisles on both sides and a nave because we were only able to plan three rows of sales floors. There, a solid wall and a series of semicircular arches in the Romanesque style were constructed. On the outer peripheral side, a semi-circular arch is also constructed to create an apse-like exhibition space.

. This time, the entire area was initially imagined to be built in the style of a basilica, and then the costumes were displayed inside that structure. You can see the next arches in the back through the costumes that are displayed inside the arches. The full-length mirror amplifies the repetitive arches, creating a small but comfortable labyrinth.
